Man that was a great time to be a kid and then the Funny Car wars with the Snake and Mongoose and you see that the car was a center of attention.

Brooklyn didn't have many places to open it up other than the ride to Coney Island on the Belt Parkway or across the Verrazano Bridge on the way to Staten Island but I had a car and sitting back on that black bench seat in that shiny red Ford behind that big old steering wheel with 70's tunes playing on the radio and a cool breeze blowing was heaven for this kid. Sadly that was a short lived experience because where I lived that car was stolen and stripped a couple weeks after I got it. But as the saying goes: "It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." I am still enjoying my love affair with cars and the possibilities they create.
